This was a thriller, with the Cohen family bringing us home in a crazy second last over. 3 times there was a no ball which they ran on.
Earlier Gypsies bowled first with a depleted attack - Oli bowled his best spell to date with the new rock - 1/5 from 4 overs. Darly dropped a c&b when it rebounded off his head. Taj showed great traffic management to cross at the pedestrian crossing when fielding a ball hit out of the ground.
Ben Casey took a catch on full debut, Darcy Cohen also on debut.
Simon (31) & Rosh (19) got us off to a solid start - 1/80 at drinks. With Varinder & Simon at the wicket 30 runs in the next 3 overs set the run chase up. Simon was fired LBW by Rosh and when V holed out it was looking dicey. But Daz & Kitty steadied the ship with a 50 partnership to take us within 17 of the total, before they both got out when cruising to victory. Dan Evans departed for 2 leaving plenty of grazed elbows for the Cohen boys as they dived for runs in a frantic finish.
Great start to the season, validating last year's Semi Final upset win and also the decision to sack Chopper from the Captaincy and the team for this match.
